The first challenge of this take was to make the stones under the water a bit unsharp. Therefor I set the shutter to 1.3 sec (with the aperture closed to the max and ISO set to the minimum and an additional ND-filter). By that, the movement of the waterwaves made the stones under the water unsharp.

The second challenge was, to keep the texture of the bright areas of he dry stones AND to maximize the contrast and colour saturation. Therefor I used the original take as the basic layer and put the colourful and high contrast picture as a second layer on top. The bright (= white) areas of this second layer are transformed to full transparency. By that the texture of the bright areas of he dry stone stayed visible.
